John's advice for funeral consumers:

  • Always use a member of a recognised Funeral Directors' Association, preferably an FDA of NSW member.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions of your funeral director whether in an 'at need' situation or preferably, pre need. If your chosen funeral director is an ethical and professional practitioner they will welcome the questions. If they don't, then perhaps they are not the right ones to deal with!

A first generation funeral director, John began his career in 1993, and owns a funeral business in Mudgee. John has served on the committee since 1994, and was President from 2001-2003.

John enjoys his committee work because he can make a positive difference to how our profession serves the community as well as meeting with and supporting the country members with their issues.
